About the role
The Director of Food & Beverage oversees the food and beverage operations for the multi-use complex, focusing on revenue maximization, cost control, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates and embodies PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.
- Communicates and promotes PMI’s culture and values; provides hands-on leadership and direction to department staff; serves as a leadership role model and creates an exceptional employment experience for PMI’s staff.
- Maximizes PMI’s revenue and operational excellence through implementation and oversight of systems and policies.
- Partners with all levels of management to contribute to the efficient operation of the business unit.
- Maintains and strengthens vendor relationships; partners with vendors to grow food and beverage revenue while ensuring relationships remain positive, productive, and profitable.
- Monitors and confirms that negotiated pricing is honored; presents creative and market-driven menu items and concepts to ensure operation is kept fresh and on the leading edge of industry standards and trends.
- Remains current with industry developments and competition; reviews and analyzes budget and financial reports, monitors performance, addresses concerns, and initiates action plans.
- Complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits.
- Supports training, development, and other professional growth opportunities; manages individual and team performance through coaching, feedback, and performance management discussions.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of F&B Management or Business Management at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 4-6 years of previous leadership experience in a complex food service environment.
- Significant expertise in food and beverage management with emphasis in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Up-to-date certifications for safe food handling and responsible alcoholic beverage service.
- Demonstrated financial acumen with strong background in P&L management; experience developing operating budgets, and established history of meeting or exceeding established financial objectives.
- Exceptional computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate information to employees of all levels.
- Organizational skills required to set priorities and the ability to effectively schedule time and meet deadlines.
