About the role

The Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Medical City Las Colinas, part of HCA Healthcare, oversees the Food and Nutrition Services Department. This role requires leading, directing, and managing operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates systems and processes, initiates changes, and makes suggestions to upper management
• Demonstrates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC)
• Ensures consistent, high-quality service in a sanitary environment
• Directs food production, checks food quality, prepares department records, and prepares reports
• Manages staff development, training, and performance reviews
• Manages department productivity, budget, and costs
• Purchases supplies, food, and equipment
• Manages HealthTrust contracted vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Minimum of five years’ experience in managing food or hospitality services
• Preferred Registered Dietician (RD) or Licensed Dietician (LD), Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)
• Preferred ANAB Approved Food Management Course or equivalent

Skills

• Knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations
• Knowledge of hospital and healthcare financial metrics
• Knowledge of hospital and healthcare regulatory standards
