About the role
The Director of Food & Beverage plays a crucial role in the executive leadership team, overseeing all food and beverage operations at the Jekyll Island Club Resort and Jekyll Ocean Club Resort.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to enhance dining concepts and boost revenue and profitability.
- Create exceptional guest experiences while driving financial performance and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with resort leadership to align food and beverage offerings with the Jekyll Island Club Resort’s commitment to excellence.
- Manage multiple food and beverage outlets, ensuring they reflect the resort’s high standards and contribute to overall business objectives.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience, or a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field with equivalent experience.
- Proven success leading multiple food and beverage outlets within a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, labor, cost controls, and revenue optimization.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a commitment to creating an engaging team culture.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex operational challenges while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical decision-making.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems (Opera experience preferred).
- A passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests and team members alike.
