Director of Financial Aid

Job Summary

The Financial Aid Director (Corporate-Back Office) at Unitek Learning is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of student records in the Federal COD system, including timely disbursement and returned to Title IV funds for Unitek College students. This role also involves tracking and administering the institution's cohort default management rate, awarding state and federal aid, and interacting with other departments to assist students.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of student records in the Federal COD system
• Timely disbursement and returned to Title IV funds for Unitek College students
• Track and administer the institution cohort default management rate
• Award state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy
• Process Verification and Disbursements
• Calculate Return of Title IV
• Internal file audits
• Run reports to ensure work integrity
• Interact with other departments to assist students
• Aid VP of FA & FAD in carrying out and maintaining up-to-date information on new federal regulations
• Aid with Private Loans and Institutional Payment Plan
• CampusVue Export/Import & troubleshooting
• COD troubleshooting and reconciliation (prepping reports for Direct Loans & Pell Grants disbursements)
• Default Management: Weekly CDR Report, Updating CampusVue® Loan management module; tracking and ensuring exit procedures are happening per regulations; updating NSLDS
• Work with VP of FA with review (and if applicable) restructuring of our CampusVue® system
• Maintain up to date information on new federal regulations
• Manage back-office and front office staff as needed/relevant to action items

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 5+ years of Financial Aid experience
• CampusVue® experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
• Computer knowledge is requested, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Qualifications

• Experience with Financial Aid processes
• Knowledge of CampusVue® system
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
• Basic computer proficiency
