Position Summary
Easy Ice LLC is a fast-growth company based in Marquette, MI. The Director of Field Sales is responsible for leading and executing the Field Sales Business Plan to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability. This position provides strategic leadership to the outside sales organization and is accountable for developing and implementing the field sales strategy, recruiting top talent, coaching and training sales professionals, and building a high-performance culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve Field Sales Business Plan: Own and deliver the annual Field Sales revenue, installation, and growth targets
- Develop and execute the outside sales strategy to penetrate target markets and increase market share
- Establish territory design, quota structure, and performance metrics aligned with company objectives
- Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Provide accurate and timely monthly and quarterly sales forecasts
Leadership & Talent Development
- Recruit, hire, and onboard high-performing outside sales representatives
- Develop structured training programs to ensure strong product knowledge, sales process adherence, and value-based selling
- Coach and mentor field sales team members through regular ride-alongs and performance reviews
- Build a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement
- Develop succession plans and identify emerging sales leaders
Strategy & Market Development
- Identify new market opportunities and expansion strategies in parallel with senior leadership
- Analyze territory performance data and adjust strategy to maximize growth
- Partner with Marketing to ensure field sales messaging and materials align with market needs
- Ensure consistent execution of the company’s sales process across all territories
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations to ensure smooth installations and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with National Accounts to support franchise and regional growth initiatives
- Partner with Finance to manage pricing strategies and profitability targets
- Provide feedback to senior leadership regarding market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights
Operational Excellence
- Ensure CRM compliance and accurate reporting across the field organization
- Develop and maintain sales dashboards and reporting systems
- Standardize best practices and drive adoption across the team
- Maintain a positive and performance-driven team environment
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
- Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive sales experience; minimum 3–5 years of outside sales leadership experience; proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams; experience developing sales strategy and executing business plans
