Director of Faculty Support and Administration (Admin Generalist Leader)
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Leads the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of Faculty Assistant operations and support services.
Monitors workloads, coverage, and priorities to ensure consistent and reliable faculty support.
Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to Faculty Assistants as a team.
Identifies operational breakdowns or inefficiencies and implement practical improvements to meet Maurer's business needs.
Serves as a senior administrative resource for unit administrative assistants across the RC.
Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriate for their needs.
Builds a stronger internal talent pipeline by supporting onboarding, development, and readiness for advancement.
Evaluates equipment and material needs across units and faculty, work with Maurer financial team to ensure these needs are met in a timely and financially responsible manner.
Manages key, card, and building access for faculty, staff, visitors, and affiliates.
Serves as a primary liaison with campus level resources (facilities, access control, human resources, and others as needed).
General Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day operations of a variety of office services to ensure the organization's administrative needs are met.
Collaborates with managers to ensure office administration policies, programs, and activities are appropriate for their needs.
Leads, directs, evaluates, and develops a team of para-professional staff.
Researches, evaluates, and recommends purchases and utilization of resources to minimize costs, manage budgets, and meet the organization's business needs.
May oversee billing and accounts and other administrative services, ensuring workflow efficiencies, adequate resources, and coordination of administrative services.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Required 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred 3 years of experience leading an administrative support team, preferably in an academic setting.
Experience working with faculty.

Pay
$63,000-$65,000 annually.
