About the role

The Institute for STEM Education and the Office of Research and Innovation invite internal applications for the new position of Associate Director of Faculty Support. This is an ideal pathway for entry into administration for a faculty member with demonstrative commitment to excellent teaching and a desire to support their colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Implement their own ideas on fostering a campus community culture
  • Develop, implement, and assess programs that support teaching (e.g., Teaching Circles, Classroom Pairs, innovative and relevant curriculum development, etc.)
  • Work closely with the STEM Institute Director, Associate Vice President of Research and Innovation, the Dean of the Graduate School, the Academic Dean, and Division Heads to fulfill faculty needs for support
  • Collaborate with the Director of Institute for STEM Ed as well as the Associate Vice President of Research and Innovation and the Dean of the Graduate School as needed
  • Develop, implement, and assess programs that support faculty teaching (e.g., Teaching Circles, Classroom Pairs, Curriculum Development Support, etc.)
  • Coordinate faculty development in research
  • Aid in the coordination of campus-wide efforts that support faculty including the CURE
  • Communicate with Division Heads about faculty needs and opportunities
  • Manage seed grants, travel awards, and other relevant initiatives

Requirements

Minimum Education: PhD

$7,000.00 /Yr.
