About the role

Iroquois Job Corps Center seeks an Admin Support Director to oversee various departments and functions within the Center. This position will provide training, assessment, and leadership for assigned staff, enforce policies and procedures, and manage budgets and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provides training, assessment, and leadership for assigned staff.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Center, ETR, and DOL policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and leads the internal audit assessment.
  • Establishes budget and cost controls for the Center.
  • Maintains compliance in all areas of finance, records management, data integrity, maintenance, property, purchasing, wellness, etc.
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors and partners on behalf of the Center.
  • Analyzes data, develops and submits accurate and timely reports, remediation plans, strategic plans, surveys, etc.
  • Directs acquisition and purchasing in accordance with ETR and Job Corps policies and guidelines.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Four years of proven work-related experience in increasingly responsible positions in finance and administration, including two years in a high-level management capacity.
  • A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in the operational management of support services such as food service, health services, finance, purchasing, maintenance and logistics, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities; excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in an atmosphere of multiple and conflicting demands.
  • Proven ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with DOL and community officials, contractors, developers, vendors, etc.
  • Proven ability to prepare and analyze comprehensive and technical reports and data.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities for action in conjunction with others.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
