Job Summary
Lead all aspects of facilities and building operations to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Manage capital projects, renovations, and infrastructure improvements. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards. Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary team of technicians and staff. Collaborate with hospital leadership and contractors to support patient care and operations. Maintain emergency preparedness and hospital safety initiatives. Promote sustainability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations for building maintenance, systems reliability, and infrastructure support.
- Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utility services.
- Oversight hiring, training, and performance of facilities staff.
- Collaborate with administration to meet operational and patient care goals.
- Review and update compliance readiness for audits and inspections.
- Support other operational services when needed (e.g., grounds, laundry, security, inventory).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare facilities management.
- Minimum 5 years of management and functional experience.
- Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Experience managing capital projects and vendor relationships.
- CHFM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
