Director of Equity and Inclusion, Health Care Administration - DEI Consultant Senior
About the role
The Director of Equity and Inclusion, Health Care Administration leads the administration in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion related programs. This role champions the administration's strategic planning around these topics, collaborates with other key leaders to understand gaps in social and physical determinants of health, and works closely with division directors, the administration's Equity Committee, legislative professionals, and external stakeholders to promote changes in public policy.
Responsibilities
- Champion the administration's strategic planning around diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion to develop and implement promising goals and strategies.
- Collaborate with other key leaders in directing efforts for the administration to understand gaps in social and physical determinants of health between the communities experiencing health disparities and the population receiving services as a whole.
- Work closely with division directors, the administration's Equity Committee, legislative professionals and external stakeholders to promote changes in public policy to improve outcomes for cultural and ethnic communities, American Indians, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA2S+, and other populations experiencing health disparities.
Requirements
- Four (4) years experience leading a large and diverse organization in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion related programs.
- Experience must include: Championing equity, inclusion and anti-racism by evaluating policies, procedures and ideas to interrupt systemic racism and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Experience with contemporary diversity, equity, inclusion and multiculturalism theories and issues.
- Successful track record with applied strategic planning, change management and project management.
- In depth engagement with ethnically and culturally-diverse communities, American Indian communities, people with disabilities, and other communities that experience health inequities.
- Proven experience with influencing/directing goals, objectives or policy and/or influencing decision makers/policymakers.
- Supporting and advising teams; coordinating training and staff development; meeting facilitation.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Human Services, Public Administration, Business Administration or similar field.
- Proven experience with analyzing data in policy, legislation, organizational practices to identify equity impacts to drive strategic direction for an organization.
- Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.

Schedule
The position requires full-time work in the St. Paul office during the probationary period, after which the telework policy will be followed.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $39.93 - $59.35 per hour, with an annual range of $83,373 - $123,922.
