Director of Enterprise Applications
Job Overview
The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the execution of the strategic vision, management, and continuous improvement of the organization’s enterprise software platforms.
Position Specific Responsibilities And Expectations
Execute the enterprise applications strategy in alignment with overall IT and organizational objectives.
Partner with business stakeholders to identify technology solutions that support growth, efficiency, and innovation.
Drive enterprise application modernization, integration, and cloud migration initiatives as needed.
Evaluate new enterprise platforms and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions.
Manage application budgets, licensing, and resource allocations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Oversee the implementation, support, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
Ensure seamless integration between systems and data consistency across platforms.
Lead application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Define and track application performance metrics, system availability, and user adoption rates.
Report on ROI and value delivered by enterprise applications to senior leadership.
Oversee training and support resources for end users.
Build and mentor a high-performing team of application administrators, developers, and analysts.
Foster strong collaboration with the Director of IT Infrastructure to ensure applications perform optimally within the technical environment.
Cookordinate with information security teams to embed security best practices into all application delivery.
Define and optimize data models, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and availability across the enterprise.
Establish application governance processes, standards, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and industry best practices.
Maintain strong change management processes to minimize business disruption.
Manage relationships with enterprise software vendors and service providers.
Champion business process improvements through technology enablement.
Measure application performance through KPIs and implement optimizations where necessary.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, a related field or a combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in enterprise application management, with at least 1–3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record managing ERP, CRM, and other core enterprise systems.
Experience with cloud-based SaaS application platforms and integrations.
Experience with Salesforce Ecosystem a plus.
Excellent understanding of application architecture and integration methodologies.
Familiarity with project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall).
