Rocketdyne is a space focused aerospace and defense manufacturer that recently separated from its former parent organization as a standalone company. The organization is in an active build phase: standing up independent IT, ERP, and business systems capability across five sites while exiting a Transition Services Agreement (TSA) with its former parent. Rocketdyne's product lines include liquid propulsion systems (including RL-10 production), advanced electric propulsion, and space electronics, operating under CMMC Level 2, ITAR, and DFARS compliance requirements. The Director of Enterprise Applications will own the strategy, delivery, and ongoing operation of Rocketdyne's core business systems, most notably its dual-ERP environment (Oracle EBS and Deltek CostPoint) alongside its engineering and manufacturing application stack (including Windchill and Teamcenter PLM, DELMIA Velocity MES, and other boundary systems during a period of active TSA exit and IT organization buildout. This is a hands-on, build-phase leadership role reporting to the Chief Information Officer, responsible for both the day-to-day stability of production systems and the medium-term roadmap toward apps consolidation and modernization. The role carries direct accountability for systems that touch government contract compliance, program financials, engineering data, requirements management, and manufacturing operations. This role will be fully remote and will work a 9/80 schedule. Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and operations for enterprise applications, with primary accountability for Oracle EBS and Deltek CostPoint across five sites.Own strategy and operations for engineering and manufacturing applications, including Windchill and Teamcenter PLM, DELMIA Velocity MES, and related shop-floor/engineering systems, ensuring tight integration with the ERP environment.Own strategy and operations for requirements management (DOORS) and the Atlassian tool suite (Jira/Confluence), ensuring alignment with program management and engineering workflows.Own strategy and operations for enterprise financial reporting systems, partnering with Finance to ensure reporting meets government contract and PE-sponsor requirements.Lead evaluation and execution of ERP consolidation and/or cloud migration options in partnership with the CIO and enterprise Architect.Manage the enterprise applications workstream of the TSA exit, including data migration, cutover planning, and decommissioning of legacy parent-company systems.Ensure enterprise application design, access controls, and change management practices meet CMMC Level 2, ITAR, and DFARS requirements.Partner with Finance, Program Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing leadership to translate business requirements into application roadmap priorities.Ensure clean, governed data flow between PLM (Windchill/Teamcenter), DOORS, ERP, and DELMIA Velocity MES to support requirements traceability, engineering change management, and production readiness.Manage relationships with systems integrators and managed services providers supporting application development, integration, and support.Build and lead an internal enterprise applications team, balancing internal headcount against a managed services/AMS delivery model..Own application-layer budgeting and vendor performance management.Establish governance, testing, and release management practices for a production environment supporting regulated government contract work.Serve as a key member of the IT leadership team during a multi-year organization buildout, contributing to org design decisions beyond the applications function as needed. Basic Qualifications 10+ years in enterprise applications leadership, including direct ownership of ERP platforms in a mid-to-large manufacturing or industrial environment.Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS and/or Deltek CostPoint; multi-ERP or ERP consolidation experience strongly preferred.Experience owning PLM platforms (Windchill and/or Teamcenter) and their integration with ERP/MES in a manufacturing environment.Experience with MES platforms (DELMIA Velocity or comparable) in an aerospace/defense or regulated manufacturing context.Strong vendor and systems-integrator management skills, including experience structuring and overseeing managed services/AMS arrangements.Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, business, or a related field; equivalent experience (4 years) considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience standing up an IT or applications function from a low-maturity or new baseline.Demonstrated experience leading application workstreams through a carve-out, divestiture, TSA exit, or major M&A integration.Experience operating within a regulated compliance environment (CMMC, ITAR, DFARS, or comparable federal contracting frameworks).Experience consolidating duplicative capabilitiesExperience in application lifecycle managementApplication modernization / cloud platform transformations
