Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Engineering team, setting priorities that align with company goals for safety, quality, throughput, cost reduction, and operational scalability.
- Procure quotes and equipment from vendors to eliminate waste and improve bottom-line performance.
- Investigate quality misses, ensure quality compliance, and assist in Root Cause, Corrective, and Preventive Action.
- Implement new manufacturing technologies and ensure proper deployment in the Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Warehouse.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis, and data-driven decision making.
- Audit and assess organizational engineering needs, and actively identify, hire, manage, and develop a high-performing Engineering team.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Engineering processes to support the company's aggressive growth trajectory and ensure consistent execution.
- Partner effectively with departments such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing to resolve systemic operational issues and continuously elevate Manufacturing and Distribution performance.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering management experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field required; Master's or MBA preferred
- Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and capacity in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong technical expertise in areas such as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, automation and robotics integration, metal fabrication and finishing processes, and capital project management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to and working closely with executive leadership
