Qualifications

• Experience: Typically 5 or more years of hands-on, progressive leadership experience in hospitality maintenance (e.g., previous Chief Engineer role).
• Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of building trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry.
• Administrative Skills: Proficiency with checkbook accounting, building management systems (BMS), preventative maintenance software, and Microsoft Office.
• Certifications: Vocational schooling, military training, or specialized technical/trade certifications are highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational abilities, and effective communication to coordinate seamlessly with other hotel departments like Housekeeping and Front Desk.
