Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and career development for a diverse team of electrical engineers.
  • Create development plans, establish design priorities, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of PCBAs, electrical subsystems, and hardware features.
  • Oversee and participate in hands-on analog (high-accuracy and high-power) and digital circuit design, analysis, prototyping, and troubleshooting.
  • Drive continuous improvements in engineering methodologies, documentation, design reviews, verification processes, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ensure robust compliance with PCB/PCBA Best Known Methods, fabrication processes, and supplier guidelines.
  • Foster close collaboration with mechanical, software, test, manufacturing, and product management teams to deliver highly reliable production systems.
  • Participate in architecture development and system-level decision-making for next-generation semiconductor test equipment.
  • Oversee measurement, characterization, calibration, and diagnostics activities to ensure precision, repeatability, and product reliability.
  • Support root-cause analysis efforts for complex hardware issues and guide corrective/preventive actions.
  • Manage resource planning, hiring, budgeting, and team scaling as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as an electrical engineer developing complex hardware systems.
  • 5+ years of managerial/leadership experience leading teams designing and developing complex PCBAs and electrical systems.
  • Proven hands-on design expertise in analog (high-accuracy, high-power) and digital circuit design.
  • Proficiency with OrCAD or similar schematic design tools, and strong familiarity with PCB layout techniques and constraints.
  • Deep understanding of PCB and PCBA fabrication processes, industry standards, and Best Known Methods.
  • Strong command of engineering design methodologies, structured development processes, and quality-driven execution.
  • Extensive lab experience with measurement equipment such as DVMs, oscilloscopes, VNAs, power analyzers, etc.
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation calibration, diagnostics, and system-level verification principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing hardware or systems in the Semiconductor Capital Equipment industry.
  • Direct background in Semiconductor Test systems or burn-in/reliability equipment.
  • Familiarity with high-reliability design practices, thermal/electrical stress environments, or high-density/large-channel-count systems.
