Director of Development - School of Business

Primary Purpose of Position

The Director of Development will manage a portfolio to identify, qualify, cultivate and steward potential major‑gift donors with a focus on increasing the pipeline of major‑gift ($25,000 and above) prospects and private support for the School of Business. This position will partner with the Assistant VC of Development, the dean, department heads, faculty, staff, and volunteer advisory boards for the School of Business to advance philanthropic support priorities, and will hold regular formal strategy meetings with the dean and Assistant VC. The Director reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a donor portfolio to identify, qualify, cultivate, and steward major‑gift prospects ($25,000+).
• Increase the pipeline of major‑gift donors and private support for the School of Business.
• Collaborate with the Assistant VC of Development, dean, department heads, faculty, staff, and volunteer advisory boards to align philanthropic priorities.
• Conduct regular formal strategy meetings with the dean and Assistant VC of Development.
• Report directly to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development.
