Director of Development, Pacific Northwest and Northern California

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a strategy for a portfolio of over 100 major gift prospects
• Engage with donors through strategic visits and communications while collaborating on new opportunities
• Foster relationships with local volunteers and board members to support fundraising initiatives
• Support high-capacity donor engagement with executive leadership and preparatory activities
• Collaborate with peers in regional fundraising to share strategies and ideas
• Represent the organization at events to promote a philanthropic culture and partnerships
• Utilize Salesforce for tracking metrics and improving fundraising practices

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of fundraising experience in complex organizations, ideally with regional knowledge of Seattle, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco
• Proven ability to close major gifts, particularly of $1M or more
• Strong understanding of fundraising strategies and pipeline management
• Skilled in developing lasting relationships with donors and stakeholders
• Experience with data-driven decision-making in fundraising

Pay

$160,000 – $185,000 annually
