About the role

The Development Director will oversee major gifts fundraising initiatives, including capital, endowment, special projects, and top sponsorships for fundraising events at Baptist Health. This role involves developing and implementing cultivation strategies, managing a portfolio of top prospects, and providing personalized donor stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements cultivation strategies for assigned prospects with the goal of closing the gift.
• Manages a portfolio of top prospects and collaborates with patients, donors, board members, and staff to cultivate, solicit, and close gifts.
• Identifies new volunteer and financial support opportunities from patients and friends with the goal of expanding the number of viable qualified major gift donors for the Hospital.
• Provides personalized stewardship to assigned donors.
• Assists with the institution’s efforts for community relations by representing the organization in the community at events and other activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in fund-raising or marketing/sales leadership.
• Experience in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and providing stewardship for major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Experience in managing major components of an effective development program.
• Professionalism in appearance, appropriate business attire, oral and written communication.

Qualifications

• BA Degree or equivalent experience.
• Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) is encouraged but not required.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$128,671.60 - $167,273.08 / year depending on experience.
