About the role

The Foundation has embarked on a $600M+ campaign. The Development Director will be responsible for developing all aspects of a comprehensive and ongoing development program with an emphasis on major gifts and naming opportunities, aligned with the overall Campaign plan. The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining a successful fundraising program, including individual and major gifts, future donor upgrading, corporate and foundation gifts, special event major giving sponsorship opportunities, planned gifts, and enhancing community awareness of the Campaigns and Initiatives as defined by the Foundation.

The Director will solicit donations and cultivate relationships with donors in order to develop, secure, upgrade, and maintain gift income sources for the present and long-term financial support of the system and aligned to the Foundation's fundraising goals. The Director Development will carry a personal fundraising goal of $1M - $2M and manage a portfolio of, on average, 100 active prospects and 200 total active and in stewardship.

Requirements

  • BA Degree required or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fundraising or marketing/sales leadership
  • Experience in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and providing stewardship for major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations
  • Experience in managing major components of an effective development program

Pay

Estimated salary range for this position is $126,148.63 - $163,993.22 per year depending on experience.
