Director of Development (Administrator II)
Responsibilities
- Identifying, qualifying, cultivating and soliciting potential donors for the Athletics Program
- Organizing and providing effective communication with donors and potential donors
- Stewarding alumni and other individual prospects, sponsors and major donors
- Cooking gift processing
- Recruiting, training and motivating campaign volunteers for the university
- Engaging alumni and community networks to assess the feasibility of robust philanthropic activity
- Working closely with constituents from all areas of the university and local community to identify opportunities to work toward fundraising objectives
- Supervising staff and student personnel as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of four years of experience in successful relationship building with prospects, volunteers, and board members
- Four years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven track record of successfully working with individual donors, soliciting and securing gifts
- Experience in athletic fundraising within a university environment and a strong understanding of university culture and corporate partnerships highly preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Google Suite required; Raisers Edge experience highly preferred
Pay
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $8,334 - $8,667 a month.
Schedule
This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and serves at the pleasure of the President.
