About the role
Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a private, non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Director of Residential Services, who will work directly with the residential programs and senior management team as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families/guardians, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit. The Director of Residential Services will report to the Senior Director of Program Services.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with some flexibility required).
Responsibilities
- Manage and track departmental financials within set budgets.
- Hire and maintain staffing requirements.
- Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities, and are protected from abuse or neglect.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
- Cover day shifts as needed.
- Complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred or at least four years’ practical work experience in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration, or special education.
- At least two years of experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitation, or developmental disabilities.
- Supervisory and management experience required.
- Experience in not-for-profit agencies is a plus.
- Medication Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
