About the role
The role is responsible for providing educational support to students in Catholic schools.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
- Supervise students during class time and breaks
- Monitor student behavior and address issues as needed
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
- Valid New York State teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for Catholic education
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Catholic education values and principles
