Director of Corporate Compliance and Privacy

About the role

A healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Director of Corporate Compliance and Privacy to lead its corporate compliance, privacy, and fraud, waste and abuse programs. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity offering a primarily remote schedule, with occasional onsite requirements in NYC, and the chance to drive meaningful improvements across a complex healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

• Leading Corporate Compliance, Privacy, Vendor Compliance, and Behavioral Health Parity programs, including oversight of a team of compliance professionals
• Managing sensitive compliance and privacy investigations from intake through resolution, including fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) matters
• Overseeing regulatory audits, risk assessments, vendor monitoring, corrective action plans, and internal compliance controls
• Developing and improving compliance processes, workflows, and systems to strengthen program effectiveness and regulatory adherence
• Partnering with senior leadership on compliance strategy, regulatory requirements, and organization-wide risk mitigation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Public Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of healthcare compliance experience within a health plan, managed care organization, or large NYS healthcare system
• Strong expertise in HIPAA, privacy regulations, privacy investigations, and corporate compliance, including fraud, waste and abuse (FWA); NYS healthcare experience required for provider-side candidates
• Experience leading complex investigations and compliance initiatives; CHC, CHPC, or CCEP certification preferred

Pay

$155,000 to $170,000

Schedule

Primarily remote, with occasional onsite attendance in NYC for investigations, employee interviews, and committee meetings. Candidates must be local or within commutable distance and available to report onsite on short notice as needed.
