About the role

The role is for a Director of Corporate Accounting at a manufacturing organization based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a high-impact leadership role within a business connected to the manufacturing and construction sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process
  • Oversee corporate accounting, general ledger, consolidations and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and SOX controls
  • Lead, support and develop a team of 2–7 accounting professionals
  • Work closely with Finance, Operations and executive leadership
  • Improve processes to increase accuracy, efficiency and scalability
  • Cook up and maintain strong auditor relationships
  • Coordinate external audits
  • Support ERP implementation, system improvements and finance transformation work
  • Strengthen accounting policies, best practice and internal controls
  • Support wider business projects when required

Requirements

  • Active CPA license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Around 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience
  • At least 5 years of accounting leadership experience
  • Big 4 public accounting experience, strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX
  • Experience in corporate accounting, consolidations and financial reporting
  • Manufacturing or construction sector experience, strongly preferred
  • ERP experience, with SAP being a plus
  • Strong team leadership and business partnering skills
