Director of Conference Services

The Role

The Director of Event Services at Mauna Lani is responsible for overseeing the Event Management team and executing events that align with Auberge's core values.

Responsibilities

• Leads and sets the standards for Group customer engagement; manages Group turnovers from the Group Sales Team.
• Responsible for Event Management Team cohesion, communication, and morale.
• Demonstrate clear and composed problem-solving skills, using sound judgment even under pressure.
• Show strong leadership, excellent communication, organization, and negotiation abilities.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities with strong attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Partner with clients to plan, develop, and execute programming, activities, and experiences that align with Auberge’s Core Values and Hawaiian culture.
• Responsible for Event Management upsell initiatives and accurate forecasting of event revenue.
• Partner with Director of Catering & Events to analyze trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for improvement and revenue growth.
• Assist the Director of Catering & Events to manage fiscal resources of the department to ensure profitability.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale complex events and property buyouts.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions. College degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Events Services in a full-service resort or hotel, with experience handling incentives, weddings, and the social market.

Pay

The base annual salary range for this position is $100k - $110k.
