Director of Compliance & Risk Management

Overview

The Director of Compliance & Risk Management serves as a senior leader responsible for advancing the University’s enterprise approach to compliance and for the continued development and integration of risk management practices across the institution. This role provides strategic oversight of Fordham’s compliance program, ensuring alignment with regulatory, ethical, and policy frameworks while strengthening risk identification, mitigation, and governance across academic, administrative, research, and technology operations.

Experience

• A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit, governance, or related control functions, ideally within complex, highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading or advancing enterprise-wide initiatives, along with the ability to operate strategically within decentralized organizations.
• A track record of partnering with senior stakeholders and translating regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions is essential.

Location

Location: Bronx, New York. An in-office presence is required at least three days per week.

Compensation

EMPLOYER-PROVIDED Pay range in New York City Metropolitan Area Exact Compensation May Vary Based On Skills And Experience. Wage Rate: 195,000 - $215,000 base salary range per year, along with excellent benefits.
