Director of Community Living & Student Support

About the role

The Human Resources department at Tompkins Cortland Community College seeks an experienced HR professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations, benefits administration, and talent management.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations and conduct investigations into workplace issues.
• Administer and maintain various benefit plans including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
• Coordinate hiring processes, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Oversee compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in HR, preferably in higher education.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with HRIS systems.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
