Key Responsibilities
- Manage agency communications and public information to maintain a cohesive, transparent voice that reflects the agency's mission.
- Key responsibilities include 35 weekly blog posts, social media management, weekly newsletters, e-blasts, news releases, Executive Director presentations, daily media monitoring, public information responses, audience database management, and media and event communications.
Branding and Integrated Marketing
- Develop and manage the agency brand to ensure a consistent, mission-driven identity.
- Oversee content, updates, and improvements for five agency websites; train staff on the Content Management System and approve website content;
- Develop agency collateral through writing, design, or vendor management in collaboration with program directors;
- Maintain the brand toolkit;
- Oversee video production and distribution.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree and three years professional experience in communications and marketing or related field is required.
- Knowledge, Skills, And Competencies Required:
- Specialty License Plate Marketing. Manage marketing to increase public awareness, encourage promotion by grantees and partners, and grow sales.
- Develop marketing campaigns, promotional toolkits, and collaborations with the Tennessee Department of Revenue and other specialty plate beneficiary organizations.
- Public Information Officer. Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries and public records requests.
- Represent the Commission at local, state, regional, and national meetings as requested.
- Collaborate with the Commission team to develop and implement strategies that cultivate the arts for all Tennesseans.
- Provide communications, marketing, and branding guidance to management and staff.
- Prepare records and reports.
- In-depth experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator or other graphic design software
- Knowledge of various social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborative initiatives, and carry projects through to successful completion.
- Highly organized and detail oriented required.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
