Director of Clinical Operations - SoCal

Position Summary: The Director of Clinical Operations guides the operational and clinical excellence of an assigned market, overseeing all elements including implementation, day-to-day workflows, and strategic leadership to accomplish organizational objectives such as clinical quality, compliance, revenue, client satisfaction, and growth.

Travel Requirements: Have reliable transportation and ability to travel between centers within assigned market up to 5 days per week. Travel to Bay Area sites (Salinas and San Jose) required 1x/week each. All other sites required 1x/quarter minimum, or more as needed.

Responsibilities

• Guide, organize, and monitor operations and clinical services in the market, overseeing 6-10 centers to ensure efficiency, stability, and consistent high-quality service enterprise-wide.
• Lead and manage P&Ls for all centers within the assigned market, including training center leadership and accountability for financial aspects such as annual budgeted targets, productivity, and revenue benchmarks.
• Ensure BlueSprig provides the highest quality of clinical services and client care through clinical initiatives and ongoing support, particularly in direction, family guidance, and RBT supervision.
• Set specific, measurable standards, goals, and objectives to ensure fiscally and clinically responsible business growth, and develop resources to improve operational performance and client care quality.
• Manage center operations with support from Support Services (e.g., RCM, IT, HR, LPD, Facilities, Compliance, and Marketing) and foster inter-departmental collaboration.
• Support staff retention by ensuring high engagement and positive career progression, including developing and reviewing career opportunities for direct reports and auditing center staff reviews.
• Participate in the interviewing, selection, hiring, and onboarding of new center leadership, with a focus on internal promotion.
• Oversee assessment and recruiting pipelines, and manage utilization of hours and census limits to achieve growth and productivity targets.
• Take an active leadership role in planning and executing the development of new centers (de novo) as directed, with ongoing support.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment in facilities and mitigate potential risks, hazards, and nuisances.
• Champion good communication processes to ensure consistent and timely information flow throughout centers and the organization.
• Provide crisis intervention training as needed and work to reduce restraints and seclusion through collaboration with RERT, Safeguarding Committee, and Grand Rounds.
• Review and act on data related to clinical quality and compliance, including remediation plans, recommendations, and trends analysis.
• Participate in establishing and implementing organizational policies, procedures, rules, and structures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external requirements (e.g., BACB, state/federal regulations, and payor requirements).

Qualifications

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
• 3+ years of professional leadership experience over multiple sites.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Pay

Annual Salary: $115,000-$132,000
