Responsibilities

  • Build, direct, and manage a regional scalable clinical staffing business servicing the long term and post-acute care industry.
  • Recruit, hire, and train team members, assign work schedules and areas of responsibility, conduct performance evaluations, follow guidelines for using external contract RDN services, and participate in Company record-keeping systems.
  • Implement a retention strategy for the Registered Dietitian team to minimize turnover, including routine group communication, periodic meetings, and retention activities.
  • Monitor and approve area of oversight expenses, including labor hours and dollars, contract services, supplies, travel, education, training, recruitment, and revenue targets.
  • Manage clinical requirements through systems like Mealtracker, support menu and diet extensions, and develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company programs, policies, and procedures and standards of ethics, conduct ongoing reviews of audit and quality monitoring measurements, and seek and provide direction and support regarding regulatory compliance.
  • Support operations to integrate sound clinical practices into food handling, preparation, service, and delivery, and manage special projects within the area of responsibility.
  • Communicate and develop corrective action plans with clients, physicians, staff, residents, residents’ families, consultants, and corporate staff regarding clinical aspects of dietary services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in Dietetics by the state, as applicable.
  • At least 3-5 years of dietary experience in long term care with managerial clinical and food services responsibilities.
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, capable of identifying issues and implementing necessary changes.
  • Must stay updated on industry regulations and be willing to travel based on operational needs.
