About the role
Our Research Medical Center team is committed to partnership, innovation, legacy, and improving more lives in more ways. As Director of Nursing Operations, you will manage the financial and clinical operations of assigned area(s), recommend qualified personnel, integrate department services with the hospital’s primary function, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
You will also develop, market, implement, and evaluate new services and programs, supervise nursing staff, and provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education. Additionally, you may act as Director for select nursing departments and assume duties of the Associate Nursing Executive or Administrative Coordinator as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial and clinical operations of assigned area(s).
- Recommend qualified, competent persons to provide care.
- Integrate department services with the hospital’s primary function.
- Coordinate and integrate services within departments.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support service provisions.
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure staff competency.
- Develop, market, implement, and evaluate new services and programs.
- Participate in outside source selection for needed services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Provide orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Act as Director for select nursing departments as needed.
- Assume duties of the Associate Nursing Executive or Administrative Coordinator as assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
