Director of Claims

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing 3 to 5 Senior Catastrophic Resolution Specialists and a Nurse Case Manager.

Also responsible for overseeing all catastrophic Workers’ Compensation claims throughout the department.

• Actively Manages assigned Resolution Specialists workloads and performance.
• Evaluates team performance, identifies and resolves problems, develops corrective action plans and defines team and individual goals.
• Provide the office with the guidance and training on functional claims problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ten (10) years’ experience within workers compensation insurance.
• PREFERRED: Three (3) years’ of claims supervisory experience
• Experience managing catastrophic Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Possess and maintain a professional adjusting license in jurisdictions assigned.
• Demonstrate exemplary oral and written communications.
• Possesses analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit highly defined leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Evidence of self-motivation and require minimal management direction.
• Interdepartmental collaboration and innovation with underwriting, loss control, business development and marketing
