Description

A respected educational leader is needed to establish an education division within OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION. The position involves developing curricula, engaging with school systems, and overseeing civics education projects. The ideal candidate should understand curriculum development, leadership, and selling to school systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement civics education programs tailored to the needs of schools and communities.
  • Collaborate with school systems to integrate our educational initiatives into existing curricula.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of educational materials and resources.
  • Engage with publishers and strategic partners in the civic education space to expand reach and impact.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, policymakers, and community leaders.
  • Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on feedback and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in curriculum development and educational leadership.
  • Strong understanding of current educational trends and best practices.
  • Experience working with school systems and engaging with policymakers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for civic education and a commitment to fostering informed and engaged citizens.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum design, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred, particularly in education or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in developing and implementing educational programs.
  • Knowledge of educational standards and frameworks.
