Director of Cerebrovascular Research

About the role

The Cerebrovascular Center at the Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Director of Cerebrovascular Research to join our multi-disciplinary group in Northeast Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Advance understanding and treatment of cerebrovascular disorders within a leading academic and clinical environment.
• Leverage the extensive expertise and resources of Cleveland Clinic in collaboration with center and institute leadership.
• Develop and implement a strategic research vision, focusing on external funding, mentorship, leadership, and advancement of cerebrovascular clinical research and care.
• Collaborate with world-class clinicians and leaders throughout the Neurological Institute, including Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University.
• Work in a new state-of-the-art 1 million square foot Neurological Institute Building scheduled to open in 2027.

Requirements

• Hold an MD or equivalent degree.
• Have research experience in the field of cerebrovascular disease.
• Possess a demonstrated record of successful external and independent research funding.
• Mentorship and leadership skills.
• A passion for advancing cerebrovascular clinical research and care.

Qualifications

• Advanced training in Cerebrovascular Diseases, Stroke, or Neurocritical Care.
• Experience in leading, mentoring, and growing externally funded investigator-initiated research, clinical trials, and health services research programs.
• Support from a dedicated research supervisor, 5 research coordinators, biostatistical and clinical trial design support, and a patient base from 22 vascular neurologists, 10 neuro-intensivists, 10 neurointerventionalists, and cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, and a health psychologist.

Pay

Minimum salary: $330,000
Maximum salary: $474,750
