Director of Business Development – Infrastructure & Workforce Solutions

The Opportunity

Mercury Z (https://www.mercuryz.com) is a workforce solutions company supporting data center, telecom, and infrastructure deployments. We help Fortune 500 enterprises, private companies, and major telecom providers find specialized talent for mission-critical projects. This role requires established relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, Electrical Contractors, and infrastructure partners.

What You’ll Do

• Monetize Your Network: Secure contracts with your existing network of General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, Tier-1 carriers, and enterprise network clients.
• Own the Sales Lifecycle: Develop and execute pursuit strategies, from initial relationships to Master Service Agreement (MSA) signings and technical scope bidding.
• Partner with Execution Elites: Collaborate with our elite recruiting and engineering deployment teams to ensure timely and effective support.
• Drive Pipeline Discipline: Maintain high self-direction and clear pipeline visibility, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to clients.

Who You Are (The "Must-Haves")

• Rolodex: 5+ years of direct sales or business development experience within telecom infrastructure, technical staffing/recruiting, systems integration, or preconstruction.
• The Language: Proficiency in technical scopes such as OSP/ISP fiber routing, Layer 2/3 configurations, data center structured cabling, or workforce scale-ups.
• The Credibility: Understanding of procurement cycles, subcontractor bidding, and supplier qualification processes.
• The Drive: Self-directed motivation, especially in an aggressive, uncapped compensation structure where revenue generation is directly rewarded.
