About the Role
The Director of Business Development is responsible for developing and executing strategic business development and marketing initiatives that drive admissions and strengthen referral relationships throughout the Richmond healthcare community. This role serves as the primary liaison between Rosedale Health & Rehabilitation and hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, assisted living communities, home health agencies, hospice providers, and other referral partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase admissions and occupancy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, insurance providers, and community partners.
- Identify new referral opportunities and expand existing referral networks.
- Represent Rosedale Health & Rehabilitation at healthcare events, networking meetings, community organizations, and professional associations.
- Collaborate closely with the Admissions, Clinical, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure seamless resident transitions.
- Analyze referral trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
- Track business development activities, referral metrics, and census goals while providing regular reports to leadership.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, families, referral sources, and community stakeholders.
- Promote the organization's mission, values, and commitment to high-quality resident care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent healthcare business development, admissions, or marketing experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Health, Hospice, or Healthcare Business Development is strongly preferred.
- Proven success developing referral relationships and increasing census.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or referral management software preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $86,000-92,500.00 annually. Final compensation will be based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the position.
