About the role
This full-time, remote position leads business development efforts across a multi-state territory, requiring extensive travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and cultivate new opportunities. You will focus on identifying new revenue streams, strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding existing accounts, and increasing market presence within the healthcare and claims services industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to drive new client acquisition and long-term revenue growth.
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key clients, referral partners, and industry stakeholders across assigned territories.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts while pursuing new business within target markets.
- Collaborate closely with sales leadership, account management, and cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business reviews to prospective and existing clients.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and client meetings as a trusted brand ambassador.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business development, outside sales, strategic account management, or territory management.
- Demonstrated success developing new business, expanding strategic accounts, and consistently exceeding revenue goals.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and executive relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends, develop territory strategies, and adapt to changing business conditions.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and outside sales experience.
- Experience within the claims, insurance, healthcare services, workers’ compensation, or related industries preferred.
Pay
On-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $220,000–$300,000+, with a base salary ranging from $130,000–$170,000 annually, depending on experience.
