Director of Brand & Communications
Overview
We are designing the grid of the future! The Director of Brand & Communications is responsible for leading and strengthening EPE’s brand, voice, messaging, storytelling, and communications strategy across all internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities
Lead the development, management, and evolution of EPE’s brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all internal and external channels.
Serve as the primary steward of EPE’s brand identity, voice, tone, messaging, visual standards, and storytelling approach.
Lead the elevation of executive team brand presence (thought leadership, event participation, social media, etc.) in the industry.
Ensure brand execution reflects EPE’s technical expertise, culture, values, growth strategy, and position in the energy industry.
Partner with senior leadership to align brand strategy with corporate priorities, business development goals, talent needs, and market opportunities.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, campaign standards, and creative quality expectations.
Lead web site management and development efforts in support of marketing and communications teams.
Manage editorial planning, content calendars, campaign themes, and message consistency across channels.
Ensure all creative and content deliverables are accurate, polished, on-brand, and aligned with business objectives.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to create materials that improve candidate awareness, engagement, and conversion.
Oversee EPE’s events function, including industry conferences, owned events, client events, recruiting events, employee events, webinars, and executive speaking opportunities.
Provide strategic direction on event messaging, audience experience, speaker preparation, visual identity, promotional strategy, and post-event content.
Strengthen the connection between employees and EPE’s mission, values, growth story, and role in the energy transition.
Define and track performance metrics for brand awareness, content engagement, internal communications effectiveness, event impact, employer brand performance, and campaign results.
Build strong relationships across departments to ensure the brand and communications team is viewed as a strategic partner to the business.
