About the role

Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Asset Management will play a critical role in optimizing portfolio performance and delivering investment objectives across a growing real estate platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute asset-level business plans aligned with investment and portfolio strategies.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance, identifying opportunities to enhance Net Operating Income, improve cash flow, and increase asset value.
  • Lead portfolio reviews and provide regular performance reporting to senior management, lenders, joint venture partners, and investors.
  • Oversee annual budgets, capital expenditure programmes, forecasts, valuations, refinancing analysis, and financial performance reviews.
  • Manage third-party property management partners, leasing strategies, capital projects, and operational performance metrics.
  • Evaluate hold, refinance, redevelopment, and disposition strategies based on market conditions and investment objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop asset management team members while collaborating cross-functionally with development, acquisitions, finance, accounting, and construction teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. Advanced qualifications are advantageous.
  • Significant experience within real estate asset management, portfolio management, investment management, or commercial real estate.
  • Proven track record managing institutional-quality real estate assets and delivering value creation initiatives.
  • Strong financial modelling, investment underwriting, budgeting, forecasting, and valuation experience.
  • Experience overseeing property management teams, leasing performance, and capital improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of debt structures, loan covenants, refinancing processes, and investor reporting requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience interacting with lenders, investors, joint venture partners, and executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring analysts, associates, or asset management professionals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and real estate financial analysis tools.
