About the role

The Director of Aide Services at Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is responsible for leading and managing a team of aides to ensure high-quality care for hospice patients. This role requires strong leadership, mentorship, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to the aide team.
  • Mentor and develop aide staff, providing ongoing training and education.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the aide staff, managing schedules and ensuring charting is completed.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and best practices for operations.
  • Support, build, and sustain a diverse team who successfully and consistently deliver on objectives and goals.
  • Communicate clearly, establish and maintain effective relationships with team members to problem solve in an educational and cooperative manner.
  • Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
  • Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; and maintaining licensure.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice with one year of experience under license.
  • CPR Certification.
  • At least 1 year experience in leadership required.
  • Previous hospice experience preferred.
  • Previous experience as a CNA preferred.

Qualifications

  • Works well within a team environment to collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
  • Works closely with patients on a 1-1 level but gets strong support from a patient care team.
  • Can work independently and on your own from a day-to-day basis with activities which include phone, email and written communication, meetings with a variety of healthcare professionals, and an understanding of hospice rules and regulations.
  • Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.

Pay

$90,000 - $95,000 plus bonus opportunities
