Director of Adult Education and Community Services (half-time position)

Qualifications

• Successful experience working in a leadership role in education or business
• Experience in budget development and preparation
• Demonstrated ability to practice participatory management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong technology skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and community members
• Knowledge of effective administration of adult education and community services operations

Adult Education Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs (oversees/approves), and evaluates all adult education programs and activities
• Knowledge of the philosophy of and programming of adult level education
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and effective instructional practices
• Supervised instructional and support staff
• Knowledge of adult education standards, curriculum, and assessment
• Relates positively to the public and understands the importance of considering community needs and wants in regards to programming
• Works collaboratively with educational, social services, and business partners
• Writes and implements state and federal grants
• Develops and oversees annual budget

Pay

$49,218.50 (.50 fte - Pro-rated based on $98,437)
