About the role

The Director will oversee the adult day care program, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and maximizing revenue while maintaining positive relationships with clients and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current licensing standards with required agencies on yearly inspections.
  • Perform bill collection activities, including follow-up calls and letters to families, recording of payments, and calls on insufficient funds.
  • Maximize net revenue and control facility budget.
  • Maintain positive community relationships by soliciting and inputting market services.
  • Adhere to documentation regulations and standards as required by the Department of Medical Assistance Services and maintain all regulations.
  • Ensure positive employee relations through employee comments, satisfaction surveys, turnover rates, feedback from Human Resources, exit interviews, and timely complaint follow-ups.
  • Manage or coordinate structured recreation programs and maintain personal interactions with participants.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals according to established guidelines and complete them by due date.
  • Follow up on complaints, concerns, or grievances.
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations with all constituencies, cooperating harmoniously with others to achieve system goals and sharing information appropriately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors Degree, with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience:
    • Complete a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and have 2 years of experience working with older adults or persons with disabilities.
    • Current licensure as a nursing home administrator from the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators; or current licensure as a nursing home administrator or assisted living facility administrator from the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators; or current licensure in Virginia as a registered nurse and 2 years of experience working with older adults or persons with disabilities.
    • Be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional, or be eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
    • Have at least an associate's degree in a discipline focusing on the provision of activities for adults, or have 1 year full-time work experience within the last 5 years in an activities program in an adult care setting.
  • Licenses and Certifications: CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days.

Skills

  • Knowledge of supervisory and motivational techniques.
  • Ability to plan and implement the program.
  • Financial management sufficient to ensure program development and continuity.

Benefits

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Pay

$81,000.00 - $111,375.00/Annual
