About the role
The role is based in Brooklyn, NY, and is full-time, in-person (5 days a week on-site).
Essential Functions
- Oversee the daily operations of the Day Habilitation and Vocational Services programs, ensuring person-centered services that support individuals' goals.
- Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate the Program Assistant, Vocational Coordinators, the Job Developer, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
- Develop daily program schedules that align with individuals' goals and staffing needs.
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment and ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, documentation requirements, and required timelines.
- Review Life Plans and monitor program implementation to ensure individuals' goals are addressed through meaningful services.
- Conduct regular program evaluations and implement improvements to enhance program quality and service delivery.
- Serve as the primary contact for families and guardians, responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Care Managers, clinicians, and other providers, to coordinate services and support positive outcomes.
- Monitor program documentation, attendance, staffing, and billing to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 3–5 years of management or program leadership experience, preferably in services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and staff development skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with a collaborative, flexible, and solution-focused approach.
- Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and person-centered services preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
Pay & Benefits
- The salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience.
