Director of Adult Critical Care Services

About the role

The position is incentive eligible. Salary range is $106,766.40 - $160,160.00 per year. HCA Healthcare offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-hour responsibility and direction of operations for Adult Critical Care Units
• Direct oversight of one of the individual Adult Critical Care Units as needed
• Manage and coordinate comprehensive Adult Critical Care Nursing services
• Plan, direct, manage, and evaluate day-to-day operations of the units
• Be responsible for problem resolution within assigned areas
• Maintain current competency with nursing skills required for the position
• Demonstrate knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the areas assigned
• Maintain calm in a crisis and direct staff members appropriately
• Develop and recommend major objectives of operations to support approved policies and procedures
• Collaborate with nursing management and staff nurses in defining, guiding, and evaluating nursing practice in the provision of Adult Critical Care

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health field (or actively in progress) required
• BLS, ACLS required
• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Nursing Administration, or other applicable nursing certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience in an acute care setting required
• Minimum of 1 year management and leadership experience required
