Under the general direction of the Village Administrator, this vital role performs supervisory, professional, administrative, and technical accounting and finance functions while overseeing the statutory function of the Clerk.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain internal control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and national standard accounting procedures.
- Maintain financial records and prepare financial reports.
- Develop financial studies and plans to forecast, estimate, and monitor the Village’s financial condition.
- Assist in budget preparation and execution, including monitoring revenues and expenditures for sound fiscal controls.
- Review annual budget requests for effective and efficient use of funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time.
- Supervise the collection of taxes, fees, and other receipts in accordance with laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible municipal finance work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Pay
Salary range: $108,638.40 – $151,944 (starting rate dependent upon qualifications).
