About the role

The Director of Clinical Operations oversees Nursing Administrative Services, including House Supervisors and associated operations, as well as centralized and shared staffing resources that support multiple departments, including but not limited to Float Pool Registered Nurses, Patient Safety Attendants, Nurse Externs, and Patient Care Technicians and ED Holds. The position supports hospital throughput and surg planning initiatives; ensures appropriate staffing, productivity, and budget management; develops and implements policies and performance improvement activities; and establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, and key stakeholders.

As a member of the hospital leadership team, this role contributes to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and the hospital’s public image. This position is incentive eligible.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) - ARC is required
  • Texas State (RN) Registered Nurse license or Compact required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required - MSN within 18 months of hire/transfer
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in acute or critical care area or setting
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • National Certification Preferred

Medical City McKinney opened its doors more than 100 years ago. We are a 311+ bed acute care hospital. We serve the residents of McKinney and northern Collin County. Our main campus is a Level II Trauma Center. We provide emergency services at our main campus and at Medical City ER Stonebridge. We have cardiovascular and neurological services. We offer general surgery, orthopedics and women's services. Additionally, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit and behavioral health services. Medical City McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center. We are also a stroke rehabilitation center. We are certified by The Joint Commission for total hip and total knee replacement. We are a part of the Medical City network of hospitals.
