Job Summary
As our Director Nursing ER at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, you will direct the operations of our Emergency Services, which includes a 32-bed ER handling on average 225 patients daily and a 6-bed outpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit. We are a paramedic base station hospital and the safety net for Dignity Health's Sacramento Market.
Responsibilities
- Work with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and key projects
- Collaborate with front-line leaders to maintain high standards of patient care
- Advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators on patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies
- Communicate the organization’s goals to the staff to enhance patient experience and quality care
- Lead and mentor a team of nurses and emergency services professionals
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience, with a Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (MSN/MBA/MHA) preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
- Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
