Director Nursing Critical Care - ICU (Days)

About the Role

The Director of Nursing for Critical Care is a Registered Nurse prepared through appropriate education, training, expertise, and clinical competency to assure effective leadership of nursing services and operations. This role involves collaborating with the CNE/CNO and other members of the Senior team and DYAD leadership to provide vision, set goals, solve problems, promote organizational development, lead quality improvement efforts, and implement programs and services. The position maintains positive relationships with medical staff, patients and families, staff, the administrative team, other departments, and vendors.

Full management responsibility includes supervision of nursing unit personnel, ensuring quality and quantity of work, managing costs, and optimizing resources for health system facilities. This role oversees one or more intermediate supervisors or managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and set goals for nursing services and operations in critical care.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to solve problems and promote organizational development.
• Lead quality improvement efforts and implement programs and services.
• Maintain positive relationships with medical staff, patients, families, staff, administrative teams, other departments, and vendors.
• Supervise nursing unit personnel, ensuring quality and quantity of work.
• Manage costs and resources for health system facilities.
• Oversee intermediate supervisors or managers.

Requirements

• MSN required (MBA accepted if candidate has a BSN).
• Five years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures in nursing leadership.
• Broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License.
