About the role

Piedmont Eastside Medical is a 310-bed multi-campus facility serving Gwinnett and surrounding counties. The Intensive Care Unit provides high quality care to critically ill adult patients with varying critical conditions. This 24-bed mixed unit utilizes evidence based best practices in caring for patients and their families.

Patient populations include neurosurgical patients requiring EVD and lumbar drain management; cardiac patients requiring IABP or Impella support, STEMI and post cardiac arrest patients; patients requiring targeted temperature management; patients with multiorgan dysfunction or failure requiring CRRT; and various other conditions requiring intensive care and critical intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients
• Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization
• Demonstrate professional growth and accountability
• Maintain standards of practice
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program
• New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
• For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
