About the role

The Director, North America (NA) Influencer Marketing will develop, oversee, and integrate Fenty’s influencer programs across Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, Fenty Hair, and Fenty Fragrance. This role takes a full-funnel approach with influencers to drive brand equity, connection, and conversion. The director will build relationships with affiliates, influencers, beauty editors, and VIP talent, leading innovation in influencer strategy while collaborating with global communications and local marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy and execution of NA Influencer Strategy across paid and earned channels to increase brand ranking, share of voice, and sales.
  • Define and lead Fenty Beauty’s NA influencer marketing plan, communicating strategy and localized playbooks.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate influencers into 360 marketing plans, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Collaborate with the NA General Manager to align with investment strategy and priorities.
  • Work with Brand Management and education teams to align influencer/comms strategy with product messaging.
  • Partner with retail marketing teams to align with key launch, promotion, and selling periods.
  • Develop and execute social commerce plans with the NA ecommerce team.
  • Collaborate with the Global Communications team to adapt global strategies for the NA region.
  • Execute influencer and product seeding campaigns in line with agreed-upon strategy.
  • Work with global comms to define primary and secondary KPIs for campaigns.
  • Share learnings with internal (NA leadership, product marketing, education, eComm, etc.) and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage insights to refine strategic plans across influencer marketing pillars.
  • Identify talent and influencers for campaigns to improve ROI and achieve KPIs.
  • Manage department budgets and ensure alignment with forecasts.
  • Negotiate and execute celebrity/ambassador contracts.
  • Measure effectiveness using analytic tools to evaluate KPIs and content resonance.
  • Adopt a ‘test and learn’ approach to new tools and formats, sharing data-backed insights.
  • Build and maintain relationships with agencies and networks, identifying trends and opportunities.
  • Coach and train the team on influencer selection, negotiations, and engagement.
  • Drive creative ideas for influencer collaborations within the team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in Marketing, PR, or Sales, with a minimum of 4 years in Influencer Marketing.
  • Passion for the beauty industry, relationship-building, and connecting with people.
  • Demonstrable influencer marketing experience and relationships with agencies or talent.
  • Strong understanding of pop culture and trends, with the ability to inform teams about industry changes.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to define vision and execute structures/processes.
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented, with strong relationship management skills.
  • Proactive, start-up mindset, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical approach with comfort interpreting performance data.
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Strong understanding of contract negotiations and global governance strategies.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of the social media and influencer landscape through competitive research.
  • Excellent time management and crisis management skills.
  • Knowledge of trends in culture and the beauty landscape.
  • Innovative with a keen creative eye.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $164,000 - $205,000 per year, dependent on experience and San Francisco location.
